Stained and waxed wood necklace display with 23 hooks. 12" long by 2" tall (including hooks).

"Turn your jewelry collection into an artful jewelry display with our wall-mounted wood organizers! Your baubles will become a lovely ever-changing bohemian work of art. A driftwood jewelry holder is a dynamic form of storage for your necklaces, bracelets, earrings and rings in your home/bedroom. Accessories become boho decor and out of the way organization. A great gift for her or him, young or old. Or better yet, a great gift for you! "

"I also set up my new jewelry rack I bought from an Etsy shop (Fine Art Holders.) I was so impressed with the outcome! You can talk to the creators and have them customize it anyway you’d like. They’re quick to respond"

"After making the jewelry display I still had a few other pieces of milk glass left over so I paired them with my lamp and put them all together on the opposite side of the dresser. My 50 cent garage sale bird certainly has the spotlight!"

"To create the perfect place to store the jewelry I use most often!"

"Driftwood is a beautiful and unique material. And the best part is that each and every piece is produced and shaped by nature. They're a lot like snowflakes in that way. But unlike snowflakes, they have a much longer shelf life and far more uses."

"There are many different ways in which you can organize and display your jewelry. Clever jewelry storage and display is always a great way to bring a little personality to your space. Take a look at these Creative Jewelry Storage & Display Ideas that will make finding your favorite pieces super easy. Keep your jewelry organized and never lose track of it."

"A unique and beautiful organizational piece that is sure to bring color and style to any space.
This painted hook board is a great way to display your jewelry, scarfs, or hang anything you want to show off. Makes a beautiful headband holder for a nursery! The variety of classic knobs and hooks create an elegant look in the various colors and shapes. "

My Art Wall and Tips on Creating an Art Wall

I recently created an Art Wall in my bedroom from some pieces that I have been collecting over the years. Art Walls are a great focal point for a room and is a very telling way to make a personal statement about your home. All the images on my Art Wall that I have collected say something about my personality and my interests.

Here is my finished Art Wall (please excuse my little mess and terrible cell phone images):

Creating an art wall is very easy! I was actually surprised at how easy the pieces all fit together. If you are having a hard time you can always lay out your pieces of art on the floor to judge how you would like them once they are hung. You can use paintings, photographs, black and white and color. Or you could even have a whole wall of mirrors (which I personally think would look really snazzy) if that is what you prefer! There is no limit to the possibilities.

Once you have your art laid out on the floor take a snap shot of the lay out with your cell phone for reference. Then experiment with a few different layouts and take a picture of each one. Now you can go back and choose the layout that you like best. Once you have chosen your lay out it is easiest to start in the center and work your way out. Find the inner most piece of art and hang that first. That piece is your focal point (like my unicorn image) as well as how you will judge where to place each piece of art from the picture of the lay out you have chosen on your cell phone.

Its best to keep your pieces at eye level. I went for a little more drastic effect and almost touched the ceiling with some of my pieces. Look at me, I am a little rule breaker. You really can do what ever you like, but you might want to try not to get too close to furniture. Keep a buffer of say, 8-10 inches.

Now I think all I need is a rug!

I hope these tips help you in the process of creating your very own unique art wall! Good luck!

New Items and New Craft!

So I thought I had the day off yesterday but it turned out that I was scheduled to work. So quickly after I finished making these babies, I had to hurry and get ready to go to work and I was out the door. They are really pretty and sparkly. My phone camera doesn't do a very good job of showing that and I will have more pictures for this listing in my Etsy shop soon. Click on the picture to learn more info on how to get your fingers are these pretty sparkly rings!

After I got home from work I started on this guy! I love making notebooks and I have made them before in the past but it has been a hobby long forgotten. I think it's about time that I picked up this craft again because I fell in love all over again last night with this notebook. Hopefully, I will have time to work on some soon and put some up in my shop for sale as well. I will also have to work on a DIY for the next one that I make. I always, always, always forget to take pictures while I'm crafting so I can make DIY later. It is such a bad habit!

Well that is pretty much all I have been up to lately, other than work!
