Spaghetti with Clam Sauce

 Spaghetti with Clam Sauce

I made this extremely delicious and easy meal for dinner tonight so I thought I would share with you guys! If you try it I hope you enjoy it!

20 Minute Fix: Spaghetti with Clams
• 1 box spaghetti
• 2 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
• 4 tablespoons butter
• 1/4 cup chopped onion
• 1/2 chopped peppers
• 1 can black olives chopped
• 2 small zucchinis chopped
• 1 can of clams, drain off all but 1/3 cup of the clam juice.
• Parsley flakes
• Salt and pepper to taste

Follow the directions on the box of pasta if your mother never taught you how. While the water is boiling start chopping up some veggies. You can really use whatever vegetables you wish, as long as you know what their cook times are.

The clams, olives and zucchini don't take that long to cook, thats why they go in the skillet last!
While the pasta is cooking, pour the olive oil and butter into a large skillet over medium heat. Once the butter is melted add your peppers and onions. Peppers and onions take longer to cook then the rest of the vegetables, that is why they need to be sautéed first. After about 2-3 minutes add the zucchini.
After another 2-3 minutes of sautéing on medium heat it's time to add the clams and the olives.
After another 2-3 minutes you are ready to add the pasta. Which you should have strained by now.
Add parsley.
Serve immediately.

Makes 4 to 5 main course servings.
