Joe by H.D. Gordon
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Joe is no ordinary person, but there is something detectably different about her. You see she has this ability that makes her special. I won't tell you what it is, you'll have to read the book to find out that much. But I will tell you that Joe still feels like everyone else. She is still trying to find her self and find out where here place is in the world. She still has parents, like a great many of us, who forgot how to love us for one reason or another along the way. She still has deep rooted self esteem issues. She still deals with the trials and tribulations of her young adult life.
All the while, Joe carries a gigantic weight on her shoulders. She knows what it but doesn't know the when, who or what. As she pieces together the puzzle, the burden grows larger because she feels alone and time is running out.
In the end, the pieces start to fall together as she begins to realize that her gift may not be a curse after all.
