DIY: Teeth Whitening!

Google

I'm not going to lie, I drink a lot of coffee, red wine and I smoke cigarettes. my teeth aren't as white as they used to be... and teeth whitening kits can cost an arm and a leg. so I put this post together to show you how to whiten your teeth for low cost. you may not even have to go out and buy these items because they are common household items and you might have them chilling in your fridge or hiding under your bathroom sink somewhere.

what you need:
~small bowl to mix ingredients
~toothpaste (any kind will do)
~hydrogen peroxide
~your toothbrush
~baking soda
~spoon

Start with a splash of hydrogen peroxide, 2 teaspoons of baking soda and a little squirt of tooth paste.

mix all the ingredients with your tooth brush until it turns into a paste, about the same consistency of your toothpaste itself.
if mixture is too watery add more baking soda, if mixture is too thick add more hydrogen peroxide. brush your teeth with the paste you have just made like you normally would. continue with process every other day or once a week. if you have ever used a teeth whitening system or the strips you will notice that the smell and taste are very similar!

personally I try to limit the amount of hydrogen peroxide I use in my mixture because my teeth become very sensitive very easily. If you have the same problem you can substitute water instead of hydrogen peroxide and the baking soda alone is proven to whiten teeth.
