A Short Day In the Life: Last Friday!

Google
I don't know about you but I have been a busy bee. My full time job serving and managing has me pulling extra shifts because one of the ladies is out on pregnancy leave. I am happy to stay that I managed to find time to go out and have some fun!

My friend Peyton and I went to lunch at Ron Daos, Fort Myers. It's a sports bar but they have some Portuguese cuisine on their menu! This is right up my cultural alley and reminds me of home cooking growing up!
We started with Shrimp and Garlic Knots!
Then moved on to Portugese Linguica Pizza!

After dinner we went to one of my favorite stores: Old Time Pottery! I dropped a little cash for my backyard. You might have read in recent posts that I am going to transform my bare backyard into a butterfly garden! Make sure you come back and check my progress!

Lastly Peyton and I stopped by my Grandparents house to visit with them and my aunt. I also stole some seeds and plants from the garden in their backyard! With permission of course! I am super excited to have all these different plants now. As well as seeds waiting to be planted! But there will be more on this later! All in all Friday was a relaxing fun-filled day!

Exploring My Backyard with the Boys!

I wanted to break up my routine and I haven't taken any pictures in a long while.  Probably since my trip to Wisconsin. So I went exploring in my backyard. It's really amazing that you do not have to go far from home to capture some beautiful images. I haven't picked my camera up in a long time, other than to take my Etsy Shop product pictures because I felt like I always have to go somewhere in oder to have a photo shoot. Anyway, here are the images I took with my dogs in tow.
I have had this Aloe plant for about 6 years now. It was a tiny little plant when it was gifted to me but now it's nearly growing out of it's pot!
 Cheechie under the big tree.

Kooper sitting pretty for the camera. He is so handsome!
Banana are starting to grow on my trees!
Musa flower on my Banana Tree.

 The natural palm thatch work.
A little bug landed while I was capturing this one!
My dad conveniently lives next door and he built this wooden trellis walkway in his side yard. Here you can see it peeking over his fence. I need to buy him some ivy seedlings so we can plant them and take over. It will be so beautiful!
This little guy was growing out of a tree stump! It's amazing where life manages to thrive!
The trees are starting to flower.
 Black and white tree trunk!
 Peek-a-boo I see you!
Really cool black and white image. I tried to edit it so that it took a minute to figure out what it might be if you were looking at this picture all by itself. Here you can see that it is similar to the image above.
The neighbors flower bushes are growing through the fence, but I don't mind one bit!
Hibiscus plants flowering in the sun light.
 Close up.
I love my cactus!
Cheech loves to sunbathe!

I hope you enjoyed my pictures! I hope to make my backyard even more beautiful soon and cannot wait to share it with you!
