Shop Name: BurgerBarn

What you like to go by: Nicole

When did you start your shop? July 29, 2013

Is this your only job? Right now, yes! I just got out of AmeriCorps teaching elementary school kids about the aquatic environment in Okaloosa and Walton Counties.

When did you realize you had this talent? I've been sewing since I was 16; I wanted to learn how to make my own clothes because nothing fit me! It turned into making monsters and gifts for my friends which ending up being a cheeseburger. My friends loved it and pushed me to make more and sell them.

Where do you find your inspiration? My friends, nature, my husband, and cartoons

Who has been the most supportive of your work? My husband and my super encouraging friends!

What is one thing you would like to accomplish that you haven't yet? I want to go to Yellowstone National Park and live there a while. As for professional goals, I want to get in with the cartoon people of Flapjack, Regular Show, Adventure Time, Avatar, and Gravity Falls, that I really enjoy.

What are your other hobbies? I'm a puppy mommy, I bake & cook, draw, crochet and knit, I play old video games and really enjoy Zelda, heavy music, mountains, waterfalls, and plants.

What are your words to live by or favorite quote? Act for the best, hope for the best, and take what comes. If death ends all, we cannot meet death better (William James). Live with death in mind.

Where is the farthest you have traveled? I'm from southwest Florida, currently living in the panhandle near Pensacola. I've been southwest to The Grand Canyon in Arizona, I lived in New Mexico, I've been far west to San Diego, California, and I've been northeast to New York City. I want to end up in a place like Seattle, surrounded by good organic food, coffee, mountain trails, and farms.
