Google

Shop Name: Ink Lounge Creative
What you like to go by: Ink Lounge
When did you start your shop? My husband and I started our Etsy shop in 2009 but didn't really understand the process and only posted a few items. I really got it going again last fall.
Is this your only job? Nope, we are graphic designers by trade but use screenprinting as our inspirational playground and teach screenprint workshops.
When did you realize you had this talent? We both were art majors in college and dug into screenprinting more several years ago. It's a natural compliment to graphic design but really pushes us to get off of the computer and do more with our hands.
Where do you find your inspiration? We get a lot of inspiration from the screenprint community and those who take our workshops. Our students are fearless!
Who has been the most supportive of your work? Our family.
What is one thing you would like to accomplish that you haven't yet? Having a booth at one of the Flatstock events surrounding a music festival.
What are your other hobbies? Gardening and auto restoration, for myself and my husband respectively
What are your words to live by or favorite quote? Every thing you do does make a difference.
Where is the farthest you have traveled? China!
You can also find Ink Louge Creative at their site.

When did you start your shop? April, 2009
Is this your only job? I'm so excited to say that right now this is my only job. I do occasionally do graphic design work from home on a freelance basis.
When did you realize you had this talent? I have always been interested in art and design since I was little.
I worked for eleven years as a full time graphic designer and realized at that time that I would really like to make my own art without a lot of client direction. That is when I discovered jewelry making from books in the library. It has taken me a long time to acquire all of the tools that I have now, so I first started out doing bead work because all I needed was wire and beads and pliers. I gradually added tools and skills and slowly ended up with the work I'm making today. I still have a long list of things that I want to learn and tools that I want to have. I think jewelry making is going to be a life-long passion for me. The options are limitless.
Where do you find your inspiration? I find inspiration everywhere from nature, industrial design and fashion.
Who has been the most supportive of your work? My family, friends and co-workers have all been incredibly supportive of my work. I am very appreciative of that because at first I was a little bit nervous of putting my work out there for people to see. The encouragement they gave me helped me to overcome self-doubt and energized me to keep learning.
What is one thing you would like to accomplish that you haven't yet? I would like to sell my work in boutiques and galleries. I plan to start applying to a few of my favorite places after the holidays.
What are your words to live by or favorite quote?
The meaning of life is to give meaning to life.
